Tuesday, 3/17/2020 update: All events at Mt. Olive through the end of March have been canceled or postponed as we participate with other churches worldwide to help stop the spread of COVID-19 / Coronavirus.
Worship Services for 3/22 and 3/29 will be broadcast on Facebook Live.
Afterwards, the videos will be uploaded to the Mt. Olive Live! page as well.
Please keep checking back for more information
Mt. Olive continues to monitor the Coronavirus situation closely.
As you are aware, this situation continues to evolve by the hour. There have been several confirmed cases in Travis County and now one presumptive case in Hays County.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are choosing to cancel both services for Sunday, March 15, 2020.
We will be live streaming an abbreviated service Sunday morning at 10:00 am on Facebook Live. Click on Mt. Olive’s Facebook page at or before 10:00 am to watch live, or a link to this abbreviated service will be available for viewing on Mt. Olive’s Facebook page and homepage shortly thereafter.
Additionally, there will be no education hour tomorrow or small group meetings at the church this coming week.
As of today, Mt. Olive Preschool will continue normal operations next week.
Please know that this was a challenging decision to make but we felt it was in the best interest of our entire congregation. While we have continued to implement precautionary measures to keep everyone healthy, we want to do our part in helping minimize any potential exposure. During these challenging times, it is important to remain flexible and remember that we are navigating through these uncharted times together.
We would encourage you to pray for:
- Our community, nation and the world for a sense of calm and peace. Trust that this situation is in God’s hands and in these coming days and weeks, we seek to comfort those in distress.
- Local, state and national leaders that they continue to respond with mindful action and graceful hearts.
- Healthcare workers, first responders, researchers and other professionals who are working tirelessly to give of their time and skill to help mitigate this crisis or care for those who are ill.
- Those that have contracted Coronavirus that they may be healed by Christ.
We will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and respond based on recommendations made by the CDC, local, state and national leaders. For next weekend’s events and services, we will plan to make a decision by Friday, March 20 and send updates accordingly.
