Many of our folks are working with Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) to meet the immediate needs of those affected by the Hurricane as they make their way to Austin.
Some of you have already asked, “What can we do to help”?
We are anticipating the need for many items in the days ahead to help meet immediate needs of survivors impacted by Hurricane Harvey along with shipping disaster supplies to the affected areas.
Ways to help those in need with Hurricane Harvey
Bethany Lutheran, 3701 W Slaughter Ln 78749 will be a collection site for Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN). You may drop off items from Monday through Saturday from 9am to 6pm
Here is the list of needed items. Please note that clothing is not needed at this time.
- New undergarments (all sizes, children and adult)
- New socks (all sizes, children and adult)
- Toiletries (ie: shampoo, facewash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
- New bed pillows
- New blankets
- Cleanup supplies
- Black trash bags
- Mops and buckets
- Utility knives
- Leather work gloves
- Inflatable mattresses
- Hand sanitizer
- Box fans
We are also collecting monetary donations for Hurricane Harvey. You can log onto ADRN www.adrn.org or use the envelopes provided in the Mt. Olive worship service on Sunday.
