Operation Christmas Child

Mt. Olive is sponsoring “Operation Christmas Child” again this year from Sunday October 31st – Sunday November 14th!!

We’re asking everyone to fill ‘shoeboxes’ with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, etc. for boys and girls of different age groups, and bring the filled boxes to church.  We will then deliver them to a local drop-off location where they will be sent overseas.

At their destinations, the boxes are part of a program used to share the Gospel with children and lead them to faith.

Empty boxes and instructions are available now for pickup in the Narthex!

Watch the video below for an introduction to Operation: Christmas Child!

Here are 3 great ways to pack your box!

  1. Use a shoebox or plastic box from home and cover with wrapping paper or decorate (NOTE: lid MUST open!).  Fill with gift items (see the gift suggestion sheet for gender and age group suggestions). Please NO candy, toothpaste, liquids, or war-related toys! Label your box (see below).
  2. Use a pre-printed Operation Christmas child shoebox, available at Mt. Olive (limited supply). Fill and label as above!
  3. Virtually pack your personalized box hands-free online ($25)!

Donate $9 online and receive a label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift!

If you prefer to download and print basic labels, remember to include your $9 donation per shoebox.

Your children may also wish to help personalize their shoebox gifts by including coloring pages and a photo of your family in your box.

Collection Dates:
