Welcome to the Mt. Olive web site!
We are glad you joined us!
Please look around and see the ways we engage with the community. We certainly count it a privilege to be able to serve from the Central Texas area to Guatemala in Central America.
Our mission is to Share Jesus wherever we are. We would count it a joy to walk with you as we serve those around us. Join us at one of our weekly Sunday services!
Mt. Olive is a member of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
We hope to see you soon!

What We Believe
We all look at the world and our lives in somewhat different ways. God looks at us and sees both the best of His creation as well as a humanity that needs His Son.
Thank God we have received in Jesus Christ a way to relate to the God of this universe and each other. God has offered us forgiveness and in that, life forever. That has happened because He loves us.
What a great way to relate to those around us — actually all of humanity — through the lenses and actions of love.
With the universal Christian Church, Mt. Olive teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God:
- God, The Father, creator of all that exists
- Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan
- The Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and Sacraments.
The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and co-eternal, one God.
The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three short phrases:
God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love.
He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save those who are against Him.
By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it, have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
The Bible is God’s Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.
It is the foundation for Christian beliefs.
