Mt. Olive Youth Group

Our vision is that the Youth of Mt. Olive will feel connected:

Connected to Jesus.

Connected to each other.

Connected to their Community.

Youth Nights – Bi-Weekly 4-6 PM

Welcome to Youth Nights: Where Fun and Growth Collide!

Join us every other week for an experience designed to help students make friends and meet Jesus. Our gatherings will hopefully ignite curiosity, foster meaningful connections, and equip students to live as a disciple of Jesus in their schools.

Each gathering, we’ll have exciting games, interactive teaching and discussion all within a safe and supportive community.

Sunday Morning Bible Time

Join us on Sunday mornings from 9:40 to 10:20 AM for a time to connect with other students. We gather around God’s Word, exploring its truths and discovering practical ways to apply it to our lives.

Confirmation

Confirmation at Mt. Olive is an opportunity for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade to learn what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. It’s not about being able to regurgitate information, but rather grow in one’s faith and relationship with Jesus and other students. It’s a step in one’s life-long walk with Jesus.

Confirmation is a three-year process encompassing the Biblical Narrative, Luther’s Small Catechism, and Spiritual Disciplines.

We meet following the 10:30 service twice a month. We share a meal, play games, and dive into the lesson for the day. We also believe the family should play an important role in the process so families will have things to do at home together between gatherings.

Mission Trip

As a serving church, we take our Middle School and High School students on a mission trip each summer. This is a great opportunity to grow spiritually, connect with one another while making an impact!

Information on dates and a sign up will be released in late November/early December for summer 2024.

Summer Camp

Each year, we spend a week at Camp Lone Star (CLS) as part of their Pioneer Program, which means that your student will spend most of the day with a CLS counselor and their cabin doing all things camp (Bible Study, Swimming, Archery, Slip & Slide, etc.). Then in the evenings, we’ll all come together as a church group for a time of reflection, games, and snacks!

Information on dates and a sign up will be released in late November/early December for summer 2024.
